RAFT supports any recovery program that is proven to be effective. We are not affiliated with any organized recovery program or group of professionals. We do participate in many committees and groups to inform those decision makers what has worked for us. We welcome the chance to express our views to those doing research as well. Our members have many similarities but NO two are carbon copies of each other. If you're seeking information on what worked for, us just ask. Any and all members are very happy to tell you what brought them to recovery and how they remain there. Single Parents Support Group RAFT as a rule is not a recovery program, but we have faciliated a group for
single partents seeking recovery. One of the hardest things for a single parent
to do is to attend meetings. Child care is an issue ie; reliable sitters and the
financial strain. We have come up with an alternative to regular meetings that
include children and bringing like minded single parents together to share
recovery. For more information about getting involved with this group please contact our office and we will look at running this group again if the demand is there. Single Parents Support Group info admin office at 753-5322.
Our Recovey Experience It is PROVEN 12 Step Programs WORK. To be clean we strongly suggest that anyone in recovery or seeking recovery should work a program. No matter what program you choose, it is important to work one. We suggest from experience one or more of the following: a 12 step program, be involved in a fellowship, get counseling, practice a religion, have a higher power or any other form of therapy. This is not the full list of recovery methods but the most common used. At least one and usually more than one of these recovery methods from our experience is how we stay clean. Fellowship with other non-using people and including our family and friends has been the key to our recovery and wellness. As well, and one of the most important is you have to want it, and make the decision to do so. Again from great amounts of experience change your circle of friends and associates who use.
